Steel framing makes inroads in Thailand 

BlueScope Lysaght Thailand recently upgraded its Smartruss® rollformer to use the newly developed ENDUROCADD® software.  "Coupled with our recently purchased ENDURO™ rollformer, which adds wall framing capability to our business for the first time, this software upgrade improves the output and efficiency of our Smartruss® line," explains Wuthichart Anansuthivara, President BlueScope Lysaght Thailand.  "We can now provide a full house frame to our customers, and we have the option of manufacturing trusses on either our Smartruss® or ENDURO™ rollformers."

A team representing BlueScope Lysaght Thailand and Lysaght Technology implemented the smooth transition to the ENDUROCADD® software.

BlueScope Steel Thailand has also commenced marketing ENDURO™ rollformers and the ENDUROCADD® software to external customers.  "We have received many enquiries from our customers who see the potential to sell light gauge steel trusses using BlueScope Steel coil,” says Jason Ellis, Country President, BlueScope Steel Thailand.  “This is a great way of helping them into the market to manufacture steel trusses and frames."

The ENDUROCADD® software is part of a new ENDUROFRAME™ business established to provide efficient steel framing software and rollformers to manufacturers of steel frames.  This is the first time ENDUROCADD™ has been used outside Australia.

BlueScope Lysaght Thailand has been manufacturing light gauge steel trusses using the Smartruss® framing system for over a decade, and has become the largest manufacturer of steel trusses in Thailand.
