Are steel house frames noisy? Do they creak? |

No. This is one of the most common myths of steel framing. The truth is that steel frames are no noisier than timber frames and there is some evidence to suggest they are quieter. Studies conducted by the CSIRO found that "most occupants of homes with steel frames either reported no sound emitted from the frame or said that, if it did, it was no problem".
